A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Thinking about possably bidding on this if the price stays low enough (on flea-bay of course)

Was wondering if anyone could positively ID it for me.

Here are the pictures we have to go by.

Can anyone help ID it?

If you don't know what it is for, don't bid on it.

No matter how cheap a pair of shoes are they must fit your feet.

looks like a mac pipe, dunno what the application is but I wouldnt spend much on it.

It's not a Mac header, at least not any I am familier with.

Need a close up on the Header Clamps. Then Jethro will help ya out.

Kinda looks like a supertrapp header, but need more info.

I know it came off of a 1981 550e

That means that at the very least it should fit onto my 550, However I believe (need to research a bit more) it will also fit onto my 650 (which is where I really want it for)

I'll e-mail the seller and see if I can get a better picture of the header clamps.

Looks V&H or Kerker to me.
I am leaning towards Kerker.

I was leaning towards Kerker as well. Though It may also be a MAC

I guess the next big question is, can I get this thing working on the 650? (which is really where I need a new exhaust as the one side is cracked almost all the way around)

I know the 550's and 650's share a lot of parts, but is the exhaust one of the items I can get to work on either of these bikes?

Two different auctions.

Sorry for the confusion.

Just so everyone gets the information I gave BigRed. It's a Kerker end on it not sure about the headers... I took one off of a GS850 a few weeks ago...

Also during the 550 to 650 swap that we performed on Nerobro's bike we used his 550 headers without an issue.
