A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Amatuer hour question, first time rebuilding nightmare carbs (everything stripped and gunked up before I got to them). All ive really got left to do is the main needle jets, but my dumb question is how to get the washer on top off. Seems stuck in there pretty good. The only other part I really dont know and have been having trouble finding is how the brackets for the throttle cable and choke? Go on. I wasnt the one to take them off so I am trying to figure out how everything mounts and connects, and am having a hell of a time finding any pictures or videos. My background is more paint than mechanics.

Have you downloaded the official Suzuki Service Manual for your model? (It's available, free of charge, of course, through this site.) Once you've enlarged it for the screen or printer, quality gets a little fuzzy, so I purchased the Haynes "Owners Workshop Manual."

The print quality is better, but the page size is smaller, so keep your eyeglasses, magnifiers and night vision goggles handy.

Your third, and most valuable asset is this site itself. Free, expert advice, full color photos and videos. On several occasions members have sent me all sorts of parts at their own trouble and expense.

Sometimes the parts fische can give you a good or even better idea on how something goes together, I use babbitts.com but any of the Suzuki parts outlets is going to use the same picture.

See if this helps:

By the way, these carbs are not all that intimidating. Some of us can rebuild them in our sleep.

Feel free to ask questions. They are a LOT easier to handle than trying to fix mistakes.

THANK YOU! I spent way too long looking for just a simple picture like that. I finally thought that was how it went on, but I wasnt sure. Ive had so much going on that I'm having trouble thinking straight.
