A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

No more drop down, because the home page and the shopping cart page both state this:

"Carbtune Pro comes with the Toolpouch, 5mm and 6mm brass adapters, 4 x nitrile hoses, restricters, comprehensive instructions and warranty. Carbtune Pro is ?68 British pounds"

Ordering mine, although today's conversion rate isn't as good. I am getting the kit with the Carbtune Pro and the Colortune with the 10, 12 and 14mm plug sizes for 139 pounds which is $183.53 today. It's $125 on Amazon just for the tool without brass adapters or pouch + $71 for the single 14mm Colortune. Other than my old XL250's all my other bikes are CV carbs, and I've read that the ColorTune isn't as valuable when used with CV's....might as well save on shipping and have the tool for the few times I might need it.

Not sure where you're getting your pricing from but I just checked and it's still ?68 British pounds and ?5 pounds for shipping to the US so a total of ?73 British pounds. At todays exchange rate, that comes to $96.42 for the 4 col + tool pouch. Maybe you had 2 in your shopping cart.

That is because he is not just getting a Carbtune. :-k

There was a problem with my bank so my cart didn't go through last night but my price of ?139 is because I'm also ordering the kit with the Colortune including the 3 spark plug sizes.

It is just ?68 for the Carbtune kit that now includes the case and brass adapters, which is a a great deal compared to Amazon or eBay.

I have a 1980 GS850GL and have been looking for a carb synchronizer tool. When I read the Clymer manual it says I need a 4mm adapter. When I look at the carb synchronizer tools on the market today they come with 5mm and 6mm adapters but not a 4mm adapter. Is the Clymer manual wrong?

Mine is an 81 850GL but as long as it has the BS32 CV carbs it's a 5mm adapter that threads in here:

Worst case before you buy the adapters, pull the bike and mic/measure it.

Got it. Mistaken because this thread started out as just the Carbtune price.

Sorry 'bout that. Just sharing what the kit goes for total if you want the Colortune too.

I'd say most people won't ever need it but since I'm paying shipping across the pond I'll get it for my old VM carb bikes and my XL250's. Tuning a single carb/single cylinder bike outta be cal with these tools.

I have found if you tune it for cold idle, you will have a hanging idle when it warms up. Sync it, set the idle and the idle air screws for hot running, and use the choke when it is cold. YMMV, of course.

Hope it works well for you. In my experience there's too much fluctuation in the dial gauge type tool, the needles bounce up and down like crazy and it's hard to get a good reading and the tiniest turn of the screw is exaggerated on the dial.

Granted you can can restrict the tubes (Carbtune does this with some very thick wall tubing that may work similarly) to dampen the vacuum fluctuations gauge like this but I gotta tell you having used and owned both, the Carbtune is the way to go.

I got my carbtune last week and took some photos of a sync on my 750T, I'll post them up this weekend if I don't go camping.

I have one of the dial type synching tools like that one and it works fine. They are pretty sensitive on getting the trim valves just right but it works good.
You'll also want a large fan to keep in front of the motor... and burn ointment that you'll inevitably need for your fingers afterwards. lol

DUDE! you too! Not only did I burn my digits until I came up with the little hose technique but I have a big ol scar on the back of my hand from working the idle screw under the carbs that took 2 weeks to heal. I have smeared more triple antibiotic around in the last few weeks because of that Suzuki than I have in the last few years.
