A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I picked these up from Amazon for $9.17 and $8.51 respectively. A very good deal.

For the money, I couldn't be more impressed. A nice solid loud blast with good dissonance to attract attention. A perfect replacement for the dual horns on my GS850. I had to get a little creative in mounting them, but it all worked out ok.

Not a great shot...They look like little Sony speakers.

Hmmm, interesting mounting area...how come you didn't use the two holes on the frame there?

They fit nicely there after bending the crap out of the bracket that came with 'em. and look kind of neat peaking out from behind the frame. They still fit under the tank. I could have cut the brackets and drilled a new hole in them to get them to fit exactly in the proper spaces, but to answer your question, I didn't because I like 'em this way!

Those two bolt holes on the front of the frame are perfect for the oil cooler.
After-market mounts, and some factory mounts, conveniently even use that bolt spacing. ;)

Thanks for the post. I bought a pair at Summit Racing (forget the brand) and they have crapped out in under a year. I'll give those a try.

Another worthwhile consideration IMO are the horns from Harbor Freight. Two horns, brackets and relay for under $10. Very LOUD too. I've mounted them on several vehicles.
