A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Clouds GS Restoration Log

Wasn't feeling well at the end of 12 hours yesterday so we called it a day. The bike is going to have to wait until at least next week. I still need to order some new hardware.
Here are some pics to whet your appetite till then.

Cool Cloud

Cool Cloud

Things are coming along nicely Cloud. I'm liking the colors on the tank pictured. Keep the pics coming. \\:D/

Thanks Tracy. A couple of more problems crept up. We added Katana coils and prior to installing them they registered 1 ohm. The spark looks a little weak to me though. Also the fuel lever sender is rusted beyond repair so I have to locate another one. I also have to order new tank cushions and some other little odds and ends.

Looking good cloud, Hows those side covers coming? What's you idea for mirrors, stock or something a little bit smaller? What's up with your original tank and side covers? Tracy

I am going to use black square mirrors. I have brand new side covers but I need to order color matched rattle cans and some clearcoat. The original tank and panels are being put away to someday be repainted. This way I can switch between the two sets of bodywork if I get tired of one color ;)http://www.color-rite.com/

Hey, good thinkin cloud! , that's alot cheaper than my option of repainting, though this last color option should take awhile to wear on me.(hopefully):-s

I can't win... The tach I bought is the wrong one. It fits but it is not the same face as the one that was broken. Don't get me wrong though, it should work. And yes, I am crazy enough to care.

Last bit of parts ordered this morning. From tank cushions to more shiny new hardware. The bike should look practically new. Ha ha ha... and I was going to buy a new Triumph Bonneville before restarting this project. \\:D/

But I'll tell you... It better start and run like a dream after dumping all this time and money into it. 8-[

I take that thing about ordering parts back. I still have to find a fuel level sender. Then I really mean it. No more parts.

When this is done, I will compile a crazy long boring list. Okay, 2 in the morning and time for bed.

I might have a spare fuel-level sender.

Perhaps we can trade for one of your black and gray left side panels?

She's coming along.

Zip strip on the clutch? Neat covers on the cams. I never cared for the Suzi brake light and yet retain stock on mine. Have you considered an alternative? Are you happy with the directionals?

Yasser,
The zip tie was to help me crank the motor with one hand while we set the bike up. As far as the directionals... they are being changed. I am going for a close to stock looking bike minus the V&H system.
