[bREPOST with Corrections . . [/b] NEXT QUESTION THEN . . . . I have been thinking about replacing clutch plates but reluctant because there is no slipping, and the bike launches hard, however, I have the "Clutch Chatter" when the bike is idling nice and low (vibrations) and the clutch is NOT engaged. This is likely another GS Quirk, however, I am curious to know - is it plates, throw out bearing, shims, or what that is the main cause. Is it a signal that I should be redoing the clutch? Another thing that I heard is that if you do redo the clutch a good idea is to have the basket welded to reinforce the factory rivets for absolute "bullet proof" operation?
Any insight? Thanks!
