So I'm looking for a new(er) clutch master cylinder to fit to my 84 pop up Katana. One that matches my recently (last summer) installed tubular bars. I've been using the original stock masters, and they work okay, but they are angled to match the original clip ons. The new bars are much flatter, and so now the masters sit all skeewampus and make flushing with new fluid difficult. Plus, the sight glasses are all clouded up.
Here's how they look:
So I've found a set of brake and master cylinders on evilbay for a 93 Kawi ZX7L with remote reservoirs. Both are 5/8" piston diameter. My originals are 5/8" brake, and 14mm clutch.
My question is this: How will the larger 5/8" piston for the clutch affect the action of my clutch? As it is now, the clutch is a little "snappy" with very short take-up. Will the larger diameter piston of the Kawi clutch master make this worse due to pushing a greater amount of fluid?
I would like both sides to match if at all possible.
Thanks!
