I have an 82 1000/1100 Katana.
It hasn't been really ridden in couple of years.
So I took it out started it up, fine so far.
As soon as I put it in gear it lurches and stalls the engine, like the clutch hasn't fully disengaged.
Tried pulling clutch lever numerous times , though maybe things (clutch plates)might not be loosened up.
No difference, so now I've pulled the clutch and am soaking the plates, and will put back together.
My main question is how many clutch plates are there suppose to be?
Was wondering if there are the right number in there.
Thanks for any help
The clutch was all new stuff a few years ago, basket ,plates ,springs, probably 1000 mi on the whole thing.
