Okay, so the other day I replaced my clutch springs and took out my discs to check for wear. I noticed that the hub nut was not tight, but that the metal washer was bent so that it would not really turn. Because of this I thought it was supposed to be like that. I reassembled it. I have driven the bike for 200miles since and the clutch is engaging as it should.
The only two concerns I have are:
Today I opened the oil cap to add oil with the engine running, and i heard clanking coming from the clutch compartment.
At 4000rpm, there is a strange vibration coming from the engine, I chalked it up to being the natural frequency of the engine, so I don't ride at that rpm.
The manual says 36-50lbs of torque, which tells me that this thing should have no play at all.
Thoughts?
