A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

If you're working on your cabs and don't have an air compressor to blow out passages, got to your local computer supply place and get a can of that compressed air they sell for cleaning keyboards and such. Cheap ($10 or so) and works great.

It's also useful for getting the attention of cats who meow too much. Hissing sound really makes them scoot and hide.

But WD-40 is so much cheaper and makes them smell better!

Sorry if I sound like another Doomsayer - this is a gr8 product - just keep it the hell away from kids of any age...

The danger is that they think it is just compressed air and so it is safe - it in fact causes immediate death without warning and often without prolonged abuse....

Please read the attached link - a lot of reading I know but well worth the information....

The poor Police man who lost his son thought he was on top of substance abuse until he found his son dead in his own bed:shock:

PETA (PEOPLE EATING TASTY ANIMALS) sounds good to me!

It's true that the gases and propellants used in a lot of those compressed air cans is actually toxic. Don't spray it at any living thing.

As for the air compressor, it will pay for itself in short order if you get a low cost, small one just for this purpose. We did it at work because we would go through a can of compressed air a day on the tech bench. The new compressor was 85 dollars. Shouldn't take much math work to figure out how long it took to pay for itself :D Those cans of air are expensive!

Also carb cleaner is less expensive and has a good compression to it too. Just blast those passages with carb cleaner mate. Don't get mad at me please, I know I have gotten mad already in the past when someone commented like this in my tips threads. I am just trying to help though. There are alternatives to those compressed air cans that will save you a load of money and work even better.

As for messing with your pets with compressed air... I should take a video clip of our oldest Lab doing his "thing" with the blow off nozzel. He loves it. I blow it at him and he runs up and lets the air blast him in the mouth while he barks at it. His cheeks are flapping in the breeze with a slapping sound while he is doing this and dogie spittle is flying everywhere. He absolutely loves it, it's a big game. Dogs are so much fun

But those air cans come with those neat little tubes that are just perfect for sticking in those carb passages and blowing all that crap back in your face.
