A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Been spending a lot of time getting my 550 running and last week I put her all back together - and she fired right up running all perfect. Great satisfaction. Next up on the list is the electrical system. Right now the wiring harness is a mess. Lots of poor made repairs also just overall worn. So the plan is doing it all over, ground up.

First thing first, getting a new stator and a new R/R unit. I've been doing a lot of reading on here (really, a lot) and holy moly there's a lot of info and opinions to consume. I've been through the stator papers, various 30 page long threads and so on :P To make a long story short I've boiled it down to this:

For the stator: Electrosports ESG015
https://www.ebay.com/itm/232079570996

For the R/R unit: SH775
https://www.ebay.com/itm/361751856124

Can anyone just confirm that I'm not heading in a totally wrong direction? And also have a quick look at the R/R unit and maybe help me decide if I'm getting my hands on a non-fake/replacement version of the SH775? I've read that you can quite easily end up getting your hands on a version you don't want.

The two links listed is what's currently in my eBay shopping cart, but would like to be 100% sure that I didn't get all confused doing all the reading :P

Thank you in advance.

Normally on a SH-775 the only way to confirm is to see the part number on the end opposite the connectors.
Those all look OEM based on the amount of mud, but no guarantees.

Okay, thanks. I'll try and get a pic of that before I purchase it. Could you comment on the choice of stator and R/R unit? Is this the right way to go? :)
