If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Yes, it's a cast of the line for a quick profit. But at least he's not baiting it with lies to reel you closer. Telling you it was a court sale is inviting a much lower offer, I'd say.

he's already dropped it to 1k. Sure would like a few parts from it... Side covers, air box, maybe a few others...

I'd say by the looks of it, it probably doesn't need much more than a fluids change and a carb cleaning to get running. Very low miles on it.
Wish I had some money to throw at it.

I'm not even sure where I stand on this one. Laugh at the guys plight, or cry because he thinks he can recoup his labour costs?

If you too, are tired of seeing this advert re-posted so much.... It is because that A-hole that was doing this for all my ads is still up to his tricks. The posting usually lasts 4-8 hours then he flags it. Craigslist people know all about this problem person but are reluctant to do anything about him. So as a result I re-post it, and you see it every day. I even placed the advert in the dealers section, but that too seems to not be enough for this clown. If he would just leave it alone, it would only ever be seen at the top of the listings when it is renewed. As a result of this kids actions, it is top posted every day. Sorry in advance if this upsets anyone. I have 5 bikes available for sale at this time with another 4 to be made available soon.

This is a note from the self proclaimed expert on used bike sales:
From:"the Rooster"
To:
Dude...you are never gonna get $2295 for that 400cc motorcycle, even if you post it everyday for another 3 months...cause it's just not worth that much. You'll be lucky to get $1500. I'm going to start flaggin you for posting that piece of crap everyday
-------------
To Rooster: If you buy a bike for 1000 and then put on two new tires, replace the stator / regulator, repaint the frame, repaint / creme and seal the tank and side panels with 2K paint, rebuild the petcock, rebuild the carburetors, replace the master cylinder, rebuild the slave cylinder and replace the slave piston, replace the brake pads, add a new battery and new oil / filter, you will have added 600 or more to your cost. Add 400 for all the labour costs, and you have a bike that runs into a cost of 2000. add a small profit of 200 and voila you have my bike. Many of my customers do not want to repair a cheap bike. They prefer to buy from someone who is familiar with the bike and someone they trust to fix it, if and when it breaks. Additionally I have resold my customers bikes after they buy it from me, if they wish to buy a bigger or newer bike. I have sold many of my bikes at least twice. It allows another beginner bike rider to use and ride a bike as well. Often my customers use a bike for one or two years, then resell it for the same price they paid... Value in a bike purchase means much more than just a cost... It has far more to do with a purchase from a reliable person that understands the bike and how to repair it.
Rooster you are annoying.... as well as wrong... BTW His email address is:frontside5.at.hotmail.com in case anyone else is having troubles from this kid.

I have for sale a 1981 collector plate capable Suzuki GS400L. Just completed a tear down and reassembly. Carbs just overhauled. Chain replaced, brakes rebuilt, new master cyl, tank and covers freshly painted. 16000 kilometres on the odometer, runs well. Cleaned, repainted and in great condition. Starts easy and gets great mileage. With collector plate, insurance is only 175 a year. without collector plates it is only 350 per year. Easy to handle, fun to ride. A perfect bike for a first time rider, and a perfect all year commuter bike.
2295.00 or reasonable offer.

Uhhhhhh... He paid a shop to build this for him? So for $4,000 you get mismatched bald tires, grime, zip ties/hanging wires and rust??

1975 Honda CB360 CAFE RACER - $4000 (oakland hills / mills)

SUPER cool bike, tons of character and vibe. '75 CB360, caf?'d out, custom seat and pipes. Totally stripped down.

I had this thing totally redone and customized for me last February, but have only ridden her twice! A rib injury kept me from riding and now I am moving to New York - need to sell quickly. This bike deserves someone who'll appreciate riding a true cafe. There is slight rust on body, but nothing a liitle CLR can't fix . . . or if you want to throw a little paint on her (I didn't do this bc I like the raw, weathered look). GREAT starter bike or for someone who likes a true cafe look.

Bars and head light are original. There is some surface rust here and there.

Runs outstanding. Clean title and registration.
The price is somewhat negotiable. Cash in hand gets you test drive.

Vintage Honda, located in Glendale CA, built this. The shop specializes in vintage rebuilds and guarantees their work. Also if you need repairing, they will do the best job at the best price, a nominal fee to tow the bike to their shop.

ah,Tornado, you must have missed this:

It's California so maybe he had the tank "done" in a Rain-shower Salon and that's worth extra, right?

I'm gonna put my bike in the rain. It'll be worth a fortune in 6 months!

Anyone need some nice drag race parts from a GS850G, like an 1150 motor?

....and since it has a chain, it's not a G. Wonder what the title says?

Probably says something closer to what it actually is ... an '80 or '81 750E or 1100E.

The " 1986 850" that was claimed, was not only shaft-driven, but was not available in USA or Canada past 1983, and it never had a tail light or gauge cluster like that. :-\\\

From what I can see it is from an 1100E, why do you say, the foot peg mounts are alloy. The 750 use a two piece chrome. The 1100 foot peg mounts won't fit a 750 frame with out some mods. Gauge cluster is from a 1100E as well. Looks like the forks are from something else as well. What a bastard bike.

Just for giggles, I wrote to the seller and asked "What's the model and serial number on the neck tube?"

EDIT: I had asked the seller about some of the inconsistencies and inquired about the model & serial number. He wrote back "Thanks for the info" and that was it. CL advert is still up, unchanged - even the part that says "I don't know to much about this bike" Let the buyer beware.
