All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Cool idea, VERY poor execution... I'd give him $50 for it, and finish it up right, and STILL only be able to get $200 for it...

It's all getting so confusing! Bobber, tracker, board?, rat, etc.....maybe this is a hybrid? It's a bobber because of all the "useless" stuff like front fender, signals, mirrors are removed and rear fender hacked? Maybe it's a chopper too with the hardtail? Tracker because he puts overpriced tires with tread that s*ck on the street? Anyway you look at it, he'll never make his $ back. $5500? yeah right! Probably makes the neighbors happy when he fires it up with those straight pipes...if he ever rides it? Staging that last pic with the old school helmet and gloves overlooking the ocean is a nice touch though.

The bicycle pedal on the kick starter is a nice touch.

I also like the rods welded to the pipes. To reduce the burn on your legs perhaps?

Looks to me like it's the clutch.

Lift up on the bar and the wheel pushes the drive belt into contact with the engine's drive pulley. There's otherwise no way to engage/disengage the drive belt.

That's got to be it. Good eye!

And it might be hand or foot operated...?

Must be one of those paint jobs that doesn't photograph well. $5,500? He'll take $1,200 if (his wife is) smart.

With a hardtail, pipes and price I would not ride it.
Other than that I find it to be pleasing to the eye.
I do not know the average income to that area.
I think with the right more money the sense or knowledge area it would sell.
It has really pleasing lines.

You know I didn't think it was poorly done quality wise or artistically, maybe cool like looking through an old bike book or Jay Leno's collection, but a silly price and poor layout if one thinks about riding it. Maybe good for someone's (with money to burn) collection in Boston and a monthly short ride along the seacoast to strike up a conversation with "admiring" bystanders at stops, but around here it's good for a chuckle.

I can admit it, I like it and would ride it around town once in a while. Well, as long as it sounds good... It IS a bit pricey though...

Although with those wicked witch of the west handlebars, you might be inclined to be screeching "I'll get you my pretty...and your little dog too!" while riding through the neighborhoods.

I'd be interested to hear it...I think with those skinny pipes that likely don't have silencers it might sound wicked. Maybe illegally wicked. :xsmilie_mrgreen:
