DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

$8,000 ? Make your dreams come true

I figured this is the perfect time to let this jem go, as it seems all the other beauties are coming up for sale right now. Perfect for the collector or maybe you used to have one, sold it, and have always regretted it. All it needs is some TLC and a rider, turn key really. I am firm on the price so no tire kickers. And if you think this is some sort of Yamaha XS that you can cut and bob, don't even bother showing up.

Someone should call and ask if he accidentally held the 0 key down too long

1979 Honda CM400A Hondamatic. i am selling it because i just got a new bike and dont have time for it. i know the price is high, im looking to sell it to someone that will restore it and take care of it. being the Hondamatic it has no clutch and only 2 gears. it will go 130 on the highway and is interesting to ride. it is originally from ontario and has some rust, the tank is dented and the decals are peeling. it has been droped twice in the exact same way, husband buys it for there wife, she gets to the end of the driveway and forgets to put down her foot. it was running as of last week but when i went to start her she flooded and has not been happy with me. has Bridgestone Spitfire S11 with 800k on them. if you have any other questions feel free to contact me.

You Canucks are taking advantage of thinking ALL Americans are stupid. Guess you only need one.....
That Honda will bring $400. Canadian....

Wow. I don't think I have anything that would drag it that fast on the highway. A cliff, maybe.

That's what I thought. But just to be an ass, I E-mailed the seller and asked him if he held the zero button down too long as suggested.

It would easily bring $1500 Canadian on Vancouver Island. 5 grand? Crack smoking is involved in this case.

Yeah, it's Rob. This is the answer I got when I replied to the ad. "Rob" was also in the E-Mail address.

Hi there,
Thanks for the interest in my bike. To your question, no I did not "hold the zero button down", I can't for the life of me understand why so many people keep thinking there is an error with the price. This is an iconic, vintage, never to be made again bike. Hell, it might even run one day!....maybe...

Bikes have sure become expensive in Portland, Oregon. Who knew that a passel of bikes/mopeds would be worth 5 Million Dollars.

The best passage in the description...

"I will consider trades for other vehicles, land, and licensed contractors ONLY. Sorry, but I do not want your weed or electronics, thank you."

I know lots of you won't agree but I'm not opposed to this kind of thing, if it were $300...guys asking $4k!

"Another cool project I'm not going to get around to finishing . Hardtail was installed by a shop in N.H. Was assured it is straight and it looks straight . Lots more work needs to be done . Motor had spark in the stock frame . Good compression and shifts good . Comes with the bike the motor came out of . NO F&%$@NG TITLES ! Maybe I'm not asking enough compared to the prices of those ****box " brat bikes " so how about $4000 or B.O. or trade for a Honda XL 175"
