All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Just when you've seen it all....check out the tank handles. Maybe if during a tank slapper at high speed you can let go of the h-bar and grab hold of the tank.

Another one of these CL ads that has all the characteristics we have come to know and love....A concept-gone-bad-so-I'll-just-sell-it; this or that is wrong but it's "an easy fix" and the parts are cheap; spelling; grammar; improper word choice (jeez - can NONE of these folks learn the difference between brake and break); etc etc

I'm kinda into those tank handles. Would make removing and installing the tank easier.:o
I agree that they don't look nearly as bad I I might have imagined, but for the
once or twice a year I might have to remove the tank, I think I'll pass on the handles. :o

.

Another fine example of "let's-see-how-many-concepts-we-can-combine"...

http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/mcy/2104986842.html

Springer, chopper, hardtail, vintage engine, even mini ape hangers....anything he missed? And such a bargain at only $3K

No one understands the difference between the value of backyard crackpot work (me) and professional artists. It's a cool bike, but it is not worth 3,000. I mean, you still have to find a frame and bodywork to go with that engine

Here's an ad that's a lesson in if you want to eliminate 98.5% of your potential buyers, then paint it like this and then ask for almost $4000. Maybe a pretty color in person, but not the fork tubes, front caliper, air cleaner cover, headlight bucket, radiator, etc....too!! $1500 to use up the paint?

Here is a chooch, mooch if I've ever seen one!
Hey if you have an old bike and don't want any money for it...

http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ram/wan/2101111408.html

Some people! :-\\\

Hey, he's doing us all a favor and saving the environment too!:-\\\

Kind of takes the burden off him to get out there and look hard to get his profit when he flips it. But he's probably going to get more dumb responses than good and then get upset at folks for trying to make him the dump pickup guy.

OR, he'll score that one call from someone who says "Come take Dad's bike off our hands - it's just sitting...." and he gets a real gem for free or nearly free......

Come on, Larry, that is why all the guys are so hot to get that airbox off there and get some pods in place. :p

Funny thing, though, that airbox looks a LOT like the R/R for my son's Venture. :-k

It's just difficult for me to imagine someone trying to sell something and they have absolutely no idea what it is they are selling. Crazy I tell Ya, just crazy !!!!

It looks like the R/R that I put on the GK. I got it from bwringer....I think he said it was from a Honda 700 something or another.

I can report that my "airbox" does a fine job of regulating and rectifing the electrics on the GK.......

Well, it IS a little box, and air flowing over it IS required to keep it working....:-\\\

I'm looking for a small trailer to haul a bike, and while this isn't what I'm looking for, it was entertaining... if you have a reasonable command of English:
http://lakecity.craigslist.org/for/2112458124.html

"Good auto trailer for sale with new axels, wench (not shown in picture), full size toolbox, and lots of lights. Asking $1200.00 OBO. Call for more details or to see it"

I was wondering if one of the "Axels" was Axel Foley (Beverly Hills Cop), and surprised there was no picture of the wench, since this would undoubtedly be a big selling point for the male buyers. :D
