DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Daytona 200 Superbike return!

Great that the big bikes[1200cc limit?] will be back racing at Daytona but i wonder how many teams/companies would want to spend large amounts of money for a one-off race.

Funny how the 200 miler is now considered an endurance race.

How about the Vintage Superbikes as a support race to the modern bikes.

Yea, but they are going to race on that Mickey Mouse 2.91 mile road course layout. That course does not use the NASCAR Turn 1 and 2 banking nor the fast lefthand infield sweeper. That infield sweeper used to separate the men from the boys!!!

When they go back to racing on the real 3.81 mile Daytona road course it might be like the Daytona 200's of old. Glad I was around for the heydays of the Daytona 200 in the 70's and 80's.

The Vintage races don't run during Bike Week any more.

The AMA Pro racing will probably go bankrupt by 2015

No TV deal, 5 races, sponsors will flee the series

The series sponsor already left

Amen, Brother!

I agree with Big T, AMA racing is on its last legs.

Very sad to be sure! Like Big T said, only 5 races and nothing close to the west coast. Thought they might have made the effort to support WSB at Laguna in July!

Last time they were there with MotoGP I got talking with Larry Pegram for a while, nice guy. Talked even longer with his mum Mary, she was cooking pork on the grill at the time.

The banking's no great loss, but that lefthand kink would make your eyes get real big. :)

Actually, if you leave the history aside it's a crazy place to hold a MC race. It's kind of a nothing track and two of the three years I went for the CCS races someone died. :(
