If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

differences in spoke wheel hubs between models?

I am looking to get a used GS hub to lace in an aftermarket DID 2.50X18 rim for my new GS front wheel setup to properly run a wider tire. I was wondering if there was any difference in the bare hub shells between the smaller bikes and the bigger bikes? Even if the axle diameters are different I wasn't sure if the outer bearing diameter and overall hub shell width would be universal between all spoked wheel hubs. Any ideas?

1 member who found some spare hubs in his shop said he had a hub believed to be off of a smaller GS, but that it was a dual disc ready hub as I believe they all are. This is a clue in the right direction if even a 250 or gs400 would come with a dual disc hub when that model never came with dual fronts. Can anyone else confirm the o.d. bearing sizes of the hub shells as being universal? I have no idea if there is a difference in front axle diameters between different models, but I know there are some differences in fork widths.
Thanks!

the bearing o/d size i would guess being pretty universal. the inner bearing i/d is different but you WILL be able to match a bearing to fit your axle diameter
