A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

A+! dan oaks, the site's webmaster sells a few products off his website. reminds me alot of basscliff, lots of useful DIY stuff on his site too, thought focused on trail riding.
www.dirtly.com

decided to get his risers off ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...ame=STRK:MEWNX:IT&viewitem=&item=290232579549

34 dollars plus 4 dollars shipping and it was here NEXT DAY from florida.

now, unto the product itself.
the risers were packaged in individual bags. it also came with the correct size replacement allen head bolts, also in a seperate little sealed bag. it was all packed away into a very sturdy box. It came with a letter with his contact information and a guarentee that he will refund the purchase price if i am not happy with the product. ( less return shipping, i am sure. ) he also included instructions, but anyone that has ever done anything with their handlebars should be able to figure that out easily.

they are very cleanly machined and ready to install.

overall. the price was air, the product was packaged excellently. Dan's communication was quick and clear, and he shipped the same day he recieved payment. not only was shipping fast, but he was willing to change the address with no hassles (ebay had my old address still)

i would buy again. i also heartly recommend him to you guys. I've seen alot of expensive risers out there, but these, imho are a very solid, well priced item.

Awesome!

Was there a water balloon in the box, too? :p

no, the water came free of charge via an aerial distrobution sytem :D :D
looked completly dark and nast yas i put the risers on, waiting for it to rain any second. sat on the bike, ajusted the bars how i wanted them, went back in to get my gear. No sooner did i get suited up and sit down it starts to POUR .. from a clear sky. i did get a nice couple of rainbow pictures and decided while i waited for it to slack off a little ( don't have a front fender just yet ) decide to take pics of the riser :)

I bought risers from them for the Bandit.
They were good quality and installed cleanly with the supplied bolts.
