A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Can anyone tell me if the 550 or so wiring harness can be used on gs 750 1984 ES of course sorry?
i've bein rebuilding it but am considering a new one just to get away from all the problems i've bein having?

And while im on this subject witch honda rectifier can i use on my bike?
does it really matter?I'm sure there pretty close hmmmmm?

thanks in advance for help and views

It's possible no one knows. There's a chance someone will see this eventually who's had experience, just keep bumping it up. I'm waiting to see the answer myself  . It is true that the different models (even withing a particular displacement) will have different electrical features, and keep in mind that the the 650 and below bikes use a shorter frame than 750 and up bikes, so there -could- be some dimensional issues i.e. maybe a particular 550 harness might work if you didn't need to steer the bike... Always a good idea to look up parts fiches online, as Terry says, though I'm not very good with the search feature on this forum. I find it very difficult to weed out the totally irrelevant parts and give up rather easily  . Good luck!

well what terry has given me is awesome and i love the site he recommended its helpful for sure :).
I'm thinking of going and putting the electrical under the seat like
http://www.oldskoolsuzuki.info/ did on a katana, would solve a couple issues for sure.
i have no airboxe so might work not sure gonna try some cardboard cut outs to see if possible, if not going to keep plugging away at what i got untill all problems gone :) haha be awhile later guys thanks
