DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Where can you buy them? I want to replace the two chrome dome nuts at the top end of my rear shocks - pref in stainless - but they are now a discontinued part. And the place where I get most of my stainless nuts and bolts from say they can't get dome nuts in the fine thread - apparently 10x 1.25 is classed as fine.

Any suggestions? I live in Australia so small local shops can be tricky!

Thanks!

ACORN NUTS...Just about any hardware should have a selection. Take an old one with you to match then threads with a bolt..then get the new ones.

Hmm... Maybe hardware stores are different here?? Thanks - I'll try!

yep 2nd on the acorn /hardware nuts, i think they even have stainless now woo hooo lol

In my OP I said "I live in Australia..." Thanks Bruno - I'll check it out. Although for as lot of stuff even though you find it via Google Aust Amazon don't ship a lot of stuff to us. It's frustrating. But I will check and see - thanks!

I wonder how Boulevard can get them when other Suzuki dealers have them listed by Suzuki as discontinued? Weird. Last time I was in my local Suzuki dealer I asked and watched as the guy there looked up the Suzuki Australia microfiche online. Oh well. Thanks to Frank Z I have placed a bid on some on ebay. Overpriced for sure but at least they're new! If that doesn't pan out I'll try Boulevard. Thanks!

Well bugger. I tried ordering some from Boulevard but it would seem that they only ship to the USA. There is no international option on their checkout. The only 10mm dome head/acorn nuts I can find here are 10x1.5, not 10x1.25. Maybe I will have to live with misshapen nuts. Oh the horror!

Call Ashley.
She has stated that their site is not set up for international shipping and she is happy to ship to you. ;)

not sure where you are located

try Pacific Fasteners

M10 stuff in a fine thread is a real pain to source out......

or is it possible to change the bolt as well, if that is possible go to an imperial equal and use the acorn nut and bolt in a standard size, unless the acorn nut is going onto a stud that is not able to be removed.

I did this on my tripple tree, couldn't find the metric ones (nut and bolt) so I went to imperial size

Gatekeeper, the "bolts" are studs that are welded to the frame.
Ashley said that she would gladly send them to Australia or anywhere else.

If that is a pic of your Wife/GF in your sig line, allow me to share one of my riding buddy...
