Prepare to laugh loud!
I have been replacing the ball bearing set up on the headstock of my 1978 GS550 with taper set up......and mixed up the two taper bearing shells, putting the top one in the bottom and vice versa, yes, I know, what a dick! I thought I had made sure which was which. Problem is, I cant get them out now, as there is no recess to hit them from underneath, once they're in, they're in! Bollox!
Any ideas, apart from leave it to a professional in future? this is such a screw up and its not like I'm new to this sort of thing, bike fettling, not screwing up I mean.
