All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Download Service Manual pdf

Forum Newbie
I just found a downloaded a service manual for my 1980 GS1000S. This is a pdf of a scan of the factory service manual. It looks real to me, pictures, details, wiring diagram, etc. It also has the same number of pages as others I found listed for $10 for a pdf download to around $50 for a printed version. I found it on:

www.repairmanualclub.com

you have to register to download but it was free. They also seem to have a lot of other manuals there available for download.

The site does ask for you to tell others, which I am doing here. It also will accept donations if you want but it did let me download the pdf for no cost or donation.

The connection was kinda slow, it took about 20 min for a 28MB file but that is the only downside I saw.

This site did what I wanted, the product looks good, the price was right so I thought I would post it here in case anyone else is looking.

DO NOT TRY TO DOWNLOAD A FILE BEFORE YOU HAVE REGISTERED, VERIFIED AND LOGGED IN!!!! I didn't realize that the site had not automatically logged me in when I verified and counted my "attempted" download as a complete download and would not let me try again because I had "exceeded my bandwidth". (manual for '83 GS750E is 140Mb, they didn't have one for an '81) Great site, appreciate what they're doing, just be careful not to get ahead of yourself using it.

Still looking for .pdf manual for '81 Gs750E if anyone's got one.....

I have the GS1000 manual. Would be happy to post it somewhere for others if they know of a place for me to upload it. It is about 29MB or 26 compressed so is too big for e-mail.

I can look to see if I have something available through comcast.

i have the gs1000 service manual broken down into emailable chapters (bunch of'em) that i can email. they are winrar files. now i need one still for a 82 gs1100l.

Maybe the admin can host these right here on this forum.
If that can't happen I'd be glad to host these on my server.
Sending you a PM.
