DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I got back last week from another trip to the Kootenays (my 5th this summer) but this time on my DR650
3 buddies from my hometown in Ontario put their bikes in a Sprinter Van and took the three day drive out...another buddy that we also grew up with came from Banff Alberta....we have all known each other for 40 plus years.
I put my DR in the back of my old truck and made the 830kms drive.
6 days of riding off road....it was awesome!

This is was my cabin for 6 days and the view from it. No fire ban so we had a fire every night....

My buddy Rob ....oh and I should point out that the bikes my buddies were on were 2 KTM 500 (6 days) and 2 Husky 501's
Talk about feeling like a pair of brown shoes at a black tie event...lol

There was smoke that moved in from the USA (see it happens both ways...lol)
We hit three different peaks of over 7000ft
Oh and I gotta say the DR kept up just fine to my buddy's fancy European bikes...lol

This was interesting....in the pic before you can see a woman and her boyfriend we me on the trail...spicy that riding that day too...she was some former mountain bike champion and a obviously a great rider....one of my budds from Ontario actually knew them having met them in Colorado last year on a bike trip...small world....oh and another day having breakfast in Kaslo BC in walked my next door neighbours from Victoria over 800kms away! Lol...small world indeed,
Here is the couple's truck...they came by our cabins for a visit....wow....they are serious....lol

And the last of it....took a bit to get the bike clean again lol....but the bike ran awesome!

Thanks for looking

Really cool trip Trevor. I was up Buchanan in June with the truck when we spent a few days in Kalso pre-tourist gong show. Beautiful spot. Glad you're up here enjoying my backyard (yeah, I got a pretty big yard) rather than you know where. Lol.
