    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Dyna S, and 3 Ohm Coils installed, bike working well

So it looks like I did in fact fix my bike. Turns out I didn't need any coils, they were probably fine. But now I have new coils, and a new Dyna S installed. It was super easy, and the bike seems to run very strong now.

I don't know, there is no way to REALLY tell, but i'd say it idles an starts better and just all around feels "stronger". I used to have to kinda baby it quite a bit to keep'r idling when cold, but that seems to no longer be the case.

I had 2 different types of coils on the bike before, one factory and one aftermarket...now it's all Dynatek and more importantly NEW!!!

So if anyone, is interested in future proofing your bike with this stuff I say go for it!!

Proof it's running, OH YEAH, ride to work DAY! 530 AM in London to avoid traffic :-)

The Dyna Green coils are hotter than the stock coils. I noticed the same thing when I installed my Dyna S. Everything seemed to work better. The only down side to the electronic system is there is a voltage threshold. If your battery gets too low, it won't start. It will also chuff at you some times when you turn the key on and off, firing whatever gas vapor is left in the cylinders. Keep those things in the back of your mind so you don't go looking for nonexistent gremlins.

Du you know what the voltage limit is to start with Dyna S?
 
So basically if it's too low to turn the starter over then it's probably too low to push start it as well.
