I am about to install a Dynojet stage 3 kit on my Canadian model GS750.
The info page that came with the kit says "US Models only"
I did a search on here that said us and canadian kits are the same.
Has anyone installed one on a canadian bike? Anything I need to know?
It came with DJ 130 mains which I think (know) are going to be too lean, what is that size in mikuni mains?
EDIT:
I have a Wiseco 816 kit, K&N pods, V&H header, ported head. I have 130 and 132.5 mikuni mains should I try those instead of the DJ 130's?

The Dynojet 130 main is right between 120 and 122.5 Mikuni.
Dynojet main X .9375= Mikuni main
Mikuni main divided by .9375= Dynojet main.

I would start with a 135 Mikuni main.
Also go 2 notches richer on the needle from the Dynojet diretions.
I'd also go up one step on the stock Pilot jet.

If it takes the fuel give it. This will make your engine last longer and you won't melt anything.

Can't comment on the DJ kit, but doesn't your bike have adjustable needles stock? My 82 1100E did and I simply rejetted using Mikuni jets and the OEM needle, adjusted as required. The OEM needle has a much more gradual taper and meters better at part throttle (from what I can tell from all the DJ horror stories on the forums).

there is no reason why DJ kit would be different for the US and other models - the only difference in stock setup is that the US bikes came leaner from the factory

120 mikuni equivalent from DJ is too small an increase to the standard main jet i would think, so i would use one of the mikuni main jets you have

the only thing I can think of is if the us models were 700 cc at the time because of the protectionist anti 750 tariff they used to have.

I put in 130 mains to start and it was lean so I got some 135's and richened the needle. I just ordered some 137.5's.
It is running REALLY poorly at cruising speed, misses a LOT. As soon as you open throttle more than 1/4 or so it takes off (getting onto needle me thinks)
so I tossed the 42.5 pilots and went to 45's as Chef said I should do. It runs worse than before!! Wont even run with the choke on when cold. Had to set mixture screws to 1/2 turn for it to idle properly. They were at 2 turns with the 42.5's.
So I am going to order some 40 pilots..... What would make it need less fuel after all the mods done? Maybe the air corrector installed with the stage 3??

The main air jet press in is for the main jet.
I find it hard to believe that with mods you would get leaner. Something's not right.
Sounds rich on the needle. If you richen the main it also richens the needle so you would want to lean the needle with a larger main.

I think I remember seeing someone post on here some time ago that when displacement is increased, the jetting might need to be reduced, rather than enlarged.
If that is the case, your 40 pilot jet might be right on track. :-k

.

I am going to try to put the 42.5's back in and lower my fuel level by 1 mm tomorrow and see how much difference it makes.
The mid and top end REALLY came alive after the richer main and richer needle. Still doesnt have as much as I would expect on top, that is why i ordered the 137.5 mains. If they improve the top end then I will go a little richer maybe.

Keep at it. I feel your pain. With my mods I had no suggested jetting from anyone and did it on my own a little at a time. I also had a lean stretch and melted a head gasket. That's when I bumped the main jet to Mikuni 150 but actually lowered the needle two notches.
I bumped the pilot jet one size and had to add a step up on the main air jet. I finally got it! Great idle 1.25, great roll on, great midrange and one heck of a powerband.

Also the stock Suzuki ignitions can't handle too much more fuel than stock. I mostly chased my tail with a pos stock ignition. I went with a Dyna S and Dyna green coils.

The coil relay mod helped my bikes power sooo much, I might try the dyna stuff. Everytime I come back from a ride, my arms ache from the bike trying to tear my arms off. I can't imagine what it would be like on your beast.

Help!
The yoyos at the bike shop sold me vm22/210 pilot jets, made for dirtbikes:mad:
Does anyone know how much or any difference between these and the BS30/96 I was supposed to get?
Dimensionally they are mostly the same and they fit well, but there are little differences.

I installed 137.5 mains and did a plug chop wide open throttle 7k- redline and the plugs were as white as could be.
How much richer main should i try? I have 145's on hand.

G,H, I put stage 3 in a 81 550t stock main 92.5 DJ 3 150>155 mains BS32 CV carbs but she dosent run rich althou i think slide springs would help smoothness. JMOP. SAN

Don't try to jet with the stock ignition.
If you do plan to it anyway give it as much gas as it will take and take it away until your plugs look tan with a heat range of no more thay 1.5-2 threads. (color on the spark plugs threads)
