A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hej there,
Greetings from a new member from Denmark, where motorcycles are costly and the weather is more befitting herrings than bikers!
I am currently restoring a GS(X) 1100 SD Katana and am in sore need of an original exhaust system as the mufflers are shot. I have come across an new exhaust from a 750 Katana ( in the USA), but need to know if it can fit - or be made to fit a 1100.
The part number for the 750 is stated as 14305-45500, and as far as I know the part no. for a 1100 is 14305/6-49342 so there should be a difference.
Can I maybe just use the mufflers and weld them to my pipes? Any Ideas?

Thank you

PS. I support the idea of a Katana forum

Don't have an answer for your problem, but for pipes on the other side of the pond, I'd look into Motad.

Made in the UK and pretty poplar for these bikes over there - they make a few different pipes for your bike, and shipping is bound to be significantly cheaper for you.

I bought a pipe from a fellow GS'er in Australia awhile back which turned out to be for a 750SD (Kat) instead of a 750ED which I needed (completely different engines). I turned around and sold it to someone in Europe (I do think it was Denmark), and the shipping, of course, was ridiculous.

Hope this helps,

Nevermind, just re-read your post and realized you were looking for an original pipe.

Bear with me while I take my foot out of my mouth....

Try the .infoBoard link at www.oldskoolsuzuki.info - I'll leave the information above just in case it might help someone else.

Good luck,

Thanks for your reply,
I am aware that there are several 4 into 1 systems around, but I am trying to revert my bike back to original or as nearly original condition as possible.

Thanks again.
