A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

HI I have a new problem with my baby suzi.

I go to the garage for a cleanup of my carbs ( i was too bored to play in it)

and when i got the bike ,it goes very well.then today nothing .

works on only 2 1/2 cylinders, the #1 is cold as ice I can hold it in my hand while the bike is running

So this tell me that is not my carbs it's my electrical wires.

I want from you some info ,

I want to check my resistance of my coils with a standard tester
i would like to know what is the resistance of a good working coils

I hope this can help me to find my probs.

thanks a lot

I don't understand how to mesure that , on the bike while running ?

do i have to unpluged my 4 wires of juice

I really don't know how

thank you for more info on " how to mesure ohms on coils "

Mark your wires as they come off the motor 1,2,3,4, Take the caps off by turning them like a nut off a bolt, Start your checking on all wires and caps and see what you have.

Since you are measuring resistance, you don't need the bike on.

I have unplugged the cap from the wires of all my coils and checked the sparks, everythings was acceptables.

I checked the ohms from my coil for cyl.1 and 4 it was at 31.7 ohms cap to cap the one for 2 and 3 was at 57.7 ohms.

once the cap in place for all the coils I started the engine and everything was ok

all the cylinder works fine .So i'm starting thinking the problem is my wires from the coils to the caps (bad connection around the cap) no ??

Did you check the caps themselves? I think the resistors in 3 of mine went and thats why the resistance was so high. Also, it has been wisely mentioned here that the end of the wires that go into the caps can get corroded (mine did). You can cut off the smallest amount and get to fresh copper and then put the caps back on...

thank you for the hint I'll cut mine too for a better running engine.

I,m too sure that is my problem

thank you ,all of you
