A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Those would work great. I had an '88 set on my bike and they made a huge difference in handling. Those are 43mm with adjustments for preload and both compression and rebound damping. Magazines raved about them back in the day proclaiming them to be the most sophisticated used on a street bike at that time.

I was eyeballing them on my watch list and I dont even need any. It even works with a 17x3.5" front which would go nicely with even a 18x4.5"

Man do I have will power noty sniping that set of forks; does this mean I'm on the way to recovery?

Probably not.

Looks like they might go cheap if everyone here doesn't start bidding.

Okay, who got the front end? It was a steal for whoever picked it up, even with shipping.

BTW, I have a set of brackets that will allow you to use your stock gauges with the new forks. If you plan on using the stockers let me know and I'll send the brackets to you, I won't be using them anymore.

Sorry for the hijack Roger. We can take this to another thread.

Yea Im pretty happy, all the others were going for at least 200 bucks plus shipping.

Did this last night. Need brakes, clipons, tires, and a headlight mount for the 8" headlight. Rims should be here tomorrow morning. Couldnt have gotten this far if it wasnt for everyones help in here!!! Thanks guys!

Im having problems locating a rear rotor for my 89 gsxr750 rims. Does anyone have an idea what rotors I can use? I heard I can use them off of a 94-97 rf600 and 900r. also a 98-05 katana 750. I looked at the part numbers and they are different. If anyone has any ideas let me know. I already purchased on of off a 91 katana 750 and it isnt even close. Its a 4 bolt to start. Im so close to finishing this project, this is the only thing holding me back right now. All im missing is tires and brake pads......so close!

You can use 1986 and up to 2000 gsxr for sure.First gen and 1996 and up use a smaller rotor than the 88-95.You can bolt either to your wheel but you need the correct caliper bracket. You can even use bandit or hayabusa rotor. If you have the bracket for the 1989 stay with the 1998-95 gsxr stuff 750 or 1100.

easiest way is to go to the EBC website and find your applications then search for all occurances of the particular rotor you need. Then head off to ebay searching all those models. The 89 rotors were on a bunch on models.

I found a few that will fit. Back to ebay I go. Thanks for your help!

So I have rims from a 89 gsxr750 and im using the stock rear axle. I bought a gsxr750 rear caliper mount and a katana 600 caliper. My question is, the caliper mount axle hole is bigger then my axle, what have you guys done to make this work? Im at a loss here.

what axle off what bike? what size axle. sounds like you are mixing different years. It is possible to swap out bearings in wheels but sounds like youtr brake arm uses a different axle than the 89 750 wheel you have.
