I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hi there,
Im having a bit of trouble with my gs1000g,
I was getting no spark due to oily spark plus so changed them for new ones, It started first time and ran grand but the next time i tryed to start the bike i wouldnt start.
I pulled out the plugs again and found them to be oily,
Anyone had this problem, any ideas on whats happening,
Cheers

Does the engine burn oil? Do you see blue smoke out of the exhaust? These signs should be present if the plugs are getting fouled by oil.

Are you sure that they are oil fouled and not fuel fouled, through an overly rich condition?

Hi,

Weak spark? Improper jetting? Bad valve seals? What's the maintenance history on the bike?

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I did change air filter lately and checked the plugs again and found it was fuel on the plugs, too rich?... will i need to re jet?

What type of filter did you fit. If foam, you may have over oiled it, causing too much restriction to good air flow and an overly rich condition.

When the engine is rich enough to foul plugs, you usually see black smoke coming from the exhaust at idle and at lower rpms.

Do you know what jets are fitted? Has a PO messed with the jetting?

Can you post a pic of the plugs?
Oil fouled tend to be glossy black and fuel a flat black

First thing I would do is make sure you have 12 volts on the coils
