So my front tire just started leaking air from the valve stem. The tire is dry rotted and I should have replaced it at the beginning of the summer when I did the rear tire, but I didn't.
I have the Cheng Shin 3.25/85H19 on the bike and I like the tire. Now that tire is discontinued.
I was wondering what brand to get thats like the Cheng Shin tire.
Any ideas Guys.
Thanks.
I put a piece of a hose over the valve stem and some silicone sealant on the valve stem bolt to try and stop the leak for now. I ride everyday. I need my bike.

Crazy man. You gotta death wish? Go get a new tire, any new tire. 3.25, 90, 100 width are all fine. I recommend a Shinko 230 or Bridgstone Spitfire.

Yea I know. I was riding on that tire for 3 years. 10,500 miles. I ordered a Bridgestone Spitfire S11. Got it for 70.00 bucks. Well I still have a death wish till it comes. I still need to go to work on the fix I did:confused:.
I ordered the 90/90H19 tire size. A little bigger so how much will this throw the speed o off.

I don't think that's actually bigger, and if it is that's a good thing since Suzuki calibrated the speedo to run a little on the slow side.

90/90 is shorter than 100/90

Ain't that the freaking truth. A couple months ago, I was on the highway and passed a new Civic with the digital speedo. My bike said I was going about 65, and when I looked at the Civic, I could read that speedo said 68.

If its an L the correct size is 100/90/19. The only brand I've had problems with are Chen Sheng. I just put a Shinko on the front of mine. I have about 1K on the tire now and its pretty good.

I just ordered a new set for my '81 450L, 100/90/19 Front, 120/90/16 Rear. They're the Kenda K657 Challenger. I hope they turn out to be a good tire, but the price was right at $125 for the set.

I ran Kenda Challengers a few years ago. They're good tires.

I switched to Pirelli's a few years ago because the shop I went to got me a good price on them.

I could recommend either Kenda or Pirelli. The only reason I'm trying the Shinko this time is that my inspection was up and I needed a tire fast.
