Fuel Draining Recommendations

Okay,
So I got the tank off without making a mess\\/and I got most of the gas out of it. But there is still a little gas left in it, and I need to get it out. I would leave the tank outside with the cap off, but there is currently no paint on it. And since I live in southern Louisiana, I'm pretty sure the humidity would have a good ol' time chewing it up.

So what do you recommend?

I had to ship a gas tank so I needed it empty and fume free. I flushed it with water over and over and blew it dry with compressed air. It was bone dry inside but still had a gas smell. I gave up and shipped it.

storing the tank with fuel inside is actually better. It stops rust if the tanks full, and the fumes are more explosive than the gas alone.

Take it outside and put your shop vac hose connected to the exhaust port into the tank and let it blow until it dries the gas out. Take some kerosene or diesel and mix it 50/50 with motor oil and put it in the tank and shake or roll it until all the sides are coated. Seal the holes with a rag until your ready to reuse it.
