A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

If you are ever in the need to add oil to your bike/truck/car and don't have a funnel. Here is a quick alternative. You can buy a bottle of water or sport's drink and use the pop up cap as a funnel. It will save the mess and oil going all over the place

Ohhhhh in some instances that will work even BETTER than a funnel! I guess I'll buy me some water soon.

Water bottle tops (distilled water that is) also work for battery filling. Not perfect, but it cuts way down on spillage

Yea  you be amazed what it does for the ole digestive tract.
Just like castor oil as a baby 8O 8O

A neat trick for filling up batteries is to get an earbulb syringe available at most good pharmacies. You know the kind that are used to suction the gunk out of baby and toddler's noses. just fill it with distilled water and easily and accurately add or even remove excess water from the battery. It fits right in the holes and no splashing acid on you.

Another thing that works great to avoid spillage is the battery vent tube. When I bought my bew battery it cames with a bottle of batter "juice" that had a small nipple on it. I dunno what they were thinking because there was no way I was going to get the fluid in without getting it all over the place. So I took the new vent tube (since it was too short and kinked to use on my bike) hooked one end up to the nipple and stuck the other end in the battery... worked like a charm.

Another funnel

Another funnel

After you finish that bottle of oil with the drinking spout cut it in half. You now have a funnel.
