So my 84's been down about 3 weeks now (vacation and sick of messing with the beast). Just wired in a new CBR Reg/Rec and installed a new Electrosport stator. Charging problems resolved. However, when I was running it in the garage to check the charging system, I noticed it was dripping gas out of the 3 & 4 carbs. I couldn't see where, just dripping off the bottom of the bowls and the rail that holds all 4 together. This while on the centerstand.
Shut the motor off and the dripping stops. Start the motor and dripping starts again, enough to form a puddle on the transmission.
Thing is, carbs are clean but o rings are not new. They were both soft and round (not flattened out) and pliable so I believe they are okay...., float level set, the whole shebang, and the bike has never done this to me before. Remember I was riding 3 weeks ago. Fuel valve is believed to be correctly operating. Stuck float needles, maybe? And why would they stick? Clean gas, clean tank, new fuel, vacuum and overflow/breather lines. What more could there be to look at?
I think I need an exorcism.......
