A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

gas tank pin holes

Its been about a month since painting and is holding up well with a full tank most of the time, time will tell I guess. The hot tanking was done by a place in Chicago called Cool-Heat. They did a great job cleaning it and after I JB welded the very small hole they pressure checked it at something like 50psi and it did not leak. My complaints are they took a week to do it after they told me 2 days and they didn't let the excess sealer out which ended up on my bike and garage floor. I paid 60 bucks but do not recommend them as they were not very professional at all and did not finish the job. I think your probably going to have to repaint the tank if your going to take care of the rust properly. If its heavily rusted inside its likely that some of it is working through the tank. If you don't the rust will eventually take care of your paint and your tank. I got lazy with mine and let someone else do it and regret it, I could and would have done a better job myself. I should have only let them clean it and took care of the sealing myself as no one will take more care of your stuff than you. Besides what bike doesnt look great with new paint!

Thanks for the response. I've already got new paint, so I'm going to strip and coat it myself, based on what you said and some of the radiator shops I called. Thanks again!
