DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Rudy's GS gauge faces

Rudy's GS gauge faces

Rudy, I like your design, but can you reverse the mph/kmph design (since I live "south of the border?" Also, is the price still $10? Is that per gauge?
I would like fuel gauge, speedo, tach, and oil temp gauge the same.

I'll PM you with photo of my gauges. Thanks again for coming up with such a great idea/product. Just PM me to advise the total due to send to you via PayPal (if that is your preferred method of payment.)

(Later) Also, since I have a GS750, I would want the 1000 changed to 750 if possible (or just delete it entirely if not.)

Sorry I've not sent the jpeg or PM for PayPal info. Will do so tonight (after I sign up for photobucket to post gauge face pix. Not used to going through such a round-a-bout method to send pix as I'm a photographer and just usually send jpegs or PDF files directly to clients - lol. It's all good though, and I'll get jpeg to you. ;)

nessism....wont that be visible on the gauge when you put it back together?...would be nice not to have to cut it open. :)

Not visible. Just pry gently so as to not distort the bezel too much. Use a small hammer and drift punch to close the bezel back down.

I did an 850 last night and it took me about 30 min. total to open and close back down. 450 gauge shown below was harder to bend the bezel but results were the same (screw came loose in this gauge and the glass was cloudy before I opened it).

glad you came up with that solution nessism. was not looking forward to cutting my guages open in case i got it wrong!

Any updates on the gauge faces? I'm excited about seeing them in person.

an update would be good rudy, not heard anything for a few days and a few of us have paid and are itching to get these faces :-)

Hi are these still available? would like a set in red with the S

I'll put you on the list for the second round.

Agemax and the rest of 1st order folks. I talked to John today. Looks like the file I gave in CAD format is too complex for Adobe Illustrator to understand correctly, it opens, but text is kinda wonky. A friend of mine has Illustrator, so I will be working feverishly tonight to make everything right. We should be next in line at the laser when this is all done. Again, sorry for taking so long. Between my holidays and being busy at work, this hasn't gone as fast and smoothly as I had really hoped it would. You WILL get them. I can understand getting itchy to see them, I'm getting itchy too. Kinda frustrated with how long it's taken myself, as I don't like holding up progressof the good GS folk.

rudy,

"down under" we have a very strong uv light from the sun and things left outdoors can deteriorate/fade rather quickly if not protected adequately

with that in view i'm wondering if the materials used for these gauge faces would be uv-stabilised materials, if you know

Finally back up!

Finally back up!

Well, while the GSR has been down, the gauge faces have been shipped. A bunch of members have them. Post up the pics guys!

Such an awesome bike. What front end is on that bike? I have a 79 E that's in the process. Just seems that no one has tanks to fit these things anymore and without a tank I'm dead in the water.

These are the best deals I've been seeing over the last year or so and I'm not buying something this junked up.

thanks mate, the front end is a gs500e front wheel, gsx1100 katana forks, 600 bandit mudgaurd and kawasaki zx9r brake caliper on home made bracket and gsxr750 disc. home made fork brace, steering damper (not shown in pic) and home made slab yokes.

i managed to get a brand new tank from a company in uk that sells brand new old stock for about ?130. but that was a few years ago!

Just tell her it's a safety concern. You need faces that you can read more easily. ;)

I still need a bunch more people to fill out order #2. I have a few, but I need at least 8 to make it worth while as there's a setup fee that I found out about last time.

Anybody with old faces laying around from weird models, please let me know. An exact dimensional copy is better than a guess.
