DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Get the real SH775

Well there's the answer for the guy that was asking about where to buy a Shindengen RR kit from, with plugs and pigtail and all. Roadstercycle.com if I gathered correctly.

That his has me wondering now what that massive SH847 Shindengen is... possibly a series units capable of powering a serious touring bike with heated grips and additional lighting???
the SH775 is PLENTY for a GS with no major additional lighting or electric accessories however...

Since these have caught on as an upgrade for all kinds of bikes everywhere (GSXR's, R1's, Yamaha cruisers, etc), does anyone happen to know the CanAm part # For the SH775 as well? I figured 3 different search options would yield a lot better bargains than just one...

So the SH847 is a 50 amp series switchmode unit spec'd for the last few years of Suzuki V-Strom DL1000's, one of the ultimate adventure touring bikes... one which would likely be running heated grips and additional lighting for off road excursions, hence the larger heat sink and larger 50 amp capacity... it is a good bit more pricey than the SH775, but necessary if you have an upgraded stator and additional electric draws.

I am wondering if being higher rated, if it will be even more durable on a GS than the SH775? With only 1 reported failure of an SH775 on GSR (& perhaps that was one of the cheap Chinese counterfeit units??), I'd say the SH775 is serving us very well... and is also over all brands of internet motorcycle forums as of late as THE go-to best replacement r-r... hence the real Japanese Shindengen OEM manufacturer units are getting bought up rapidly on ebay...
