A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hello,
would a honda goldwing fairing fir my gs1000g???
Why not? If yes what would I have to do to adapt it?
thanks

hmm be more specific... If it is a Honda Goldwing fairing (with Honda Goldwing written on it) probably not. If it is an after market fairing like Vetter or something, maybe. but you'd have to get the correct attachment bracket. Just because it's on a GW, doesn't necessarily mean it's a stock GW piece.

Goldwing farring is not as areodynamic as the Vetter. should be plenty large enough. You could adapt it, you would have to make your own brackets. DO you already have one for Goldwing?? Other wise get a Vetter with brackets on ebay and make it easy.

Better yet put a Hannigan on it.
Superb aerodynamics,style,and protection
There is one for sale on this site .

The Hannigan is a nice fairing, but the one for sale here is $500. Canadian. You can get a nice Vetter on eBay for less than $150 USD. A guy in Belleville, ON recently sold a really nice Hannigan on eBay for less than $150 USD.

I just bought my Vetter for $150 US from a guy here at the forum! He just happened to live within driving distance too.

I have a windscreen on mine similer to one shown in another post. Recently met this old guy who was cleaning out his garage and he gave me a Vetter that goes on a Kaw but he had on a 79 GS 750. He had dropped the bike and the plex broke. He had another one from a different Kaw and put that on his 750 and used the old mounting brackets. I'm going to make my own brackets and clean it up and put it on my 850. Heck if I get it really nice I might try to adapt it to my Valkyrie. Wouldn't that be radical looking.
