DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

No rear brake AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Need to fill in the wheel too. Clean it up a bit.
Have a lot of tabs to cut as well.

Someone want to buy this seat?
I'm going to make a copy of it for a friend so I'll have the mold already made if there is anyone interested.

I'll sell the original for $50 or a new one for $100.
They will be made with the supervision of an excellent surf board shaper.
USA made!

Anyone know what the best option is for converting to spokes?
I'd really like them to be tubeless rims as well.
Thinking gs spoke hub laced to a new rim so everything will line up correctly.

Sounds like the best way. Then you can choose rim size, color, and get them in lightweight aluminum. Also spoke colors. I've built some BMX wheels and it's pretty time consuming but well worth it.

You could also look into DRZ supermoto setups. I have a DRZ400 and from what I remember alot of the hub spacing and axle sizing is the same. The only downside to that is you are stuck with 17"s ( unless that's what you want) and they arent really cheap when you do find them.

Easiest for spokes is GS used. Rears are mostly drum brake I found, but wait ! Your not using rear so its all good.

I used to lace up my own motocross wheelsets ... its time consuming, and a pain to order up correct length spokes and nipple, etc. But it would be the way to fly for custom :dancing:

Ok I gotta be honest and say it sounds a little "farty" with the open pipe... might just be the sound quality on the video too of course.

I *really* like the stance though, definitely does what you're trying to achieve I think.

I thought it would look a little silly with the inverted clubmans but I think they've turned out well...

Is this a Metric Stewart Warner gauge? I've never seen one here in the states.... Reason I ask is spec on my GS750 is 3.0 kg/cm2 Min to 5.5 kg/cm2 Max (43psi-78psi) at 3000 rpm. So that would be about right...

It does sound farty but that is because its a inline 4. I much prefer the sound of a V or two stroke. I was also worried about the "clubmans" but it looks decent and feels great.

Yeah... never been a fan of open pipes on an inline 4... but that's just me :)

I forgot to say I like that pressure gauge too, very "authentic" for the age of the bike... nicely done again :)

Taking advantage of the beautiful weather today.

Good stuff, looks like a nice ride!

How are you coping with no padding on that seat tho

Not to barge in, but I have a glass seat without padding I've been riding for half the season... Its actually comfier to me than the stock seat.

Wow ok...

The padding that was on my seat when I used to ride my 450 had me effectively sitting on the seat pan after about 30 min's in the saddle and I couldn't stand it, that's why I ask... :)

I don't mind it at all for comfort.
What I do mind is how slippery it is when Im riding hard. If I brake to hard my junk slams up against the tank.

Ouch! Maybe just even a strip of grip tape will help?
