A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi everyone,

Those of you with RM Stator parts, I just wanted you to know that we are dealing with good people.

I had a call last Friday and was told that there was nothing wrong with my stator and they were going to send it back if nothing else showed up in their testing. They said it had been putting out 150 volts (AC). It seems they left my stator in their test machine all weekend. Today I got another call from Mike at RM Stator and was told that their testing apparatus had found that there was a difference in resistance on one of the legs and therefore they are going to replace the stator with a new part. I should have it by the end of the week.

I was impressed that they would go to such effort to verify the operational condition of a seemingly good returned part. I would not hesitate to use or recommend their parts. My hat's off to RMStator.com.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

wow thats good news...

so they make factory replacement stators for our GS's or what?

I replaced the stator on my GS550 with one from RM Stator and its been running great for over a year.

Hi Mr. gaillarry,

I'm not exactly sure why mine failed. It must've been made on a Friday, perhaps a manufacturing defect that took a while to manifest. It worked great for 6 months then went out like a light bulb. The folks at RM Stator replaced it under their one year warranty. I was pleased to see them stand behind their product. I'm sure the next one will last much longer.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I read somewhere that they are made in Argentina, hopefully a better product than a chinese knockoff !!

BassCliff, I still gotta say "YOU'RE THE MAN !!!"

I was weighing who I need to order mine from, now I know. I need to call them though, they don't seem to have my 82' Kat's model of stator, unless it's some kind of stator that fits several models.
