A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Mate you're doing well, that's definitely gonna be fit for a... I was gonna say Autumn but it's Spring for you guys... ride. :D

Looking good!:) When do you figure she will be ready for the first ride? I like the detail work you have done. You arent going to want to ride it in the rain/wet. I had mine all polished up at the end of summer, now it is all dirty and needs a good cleaning:o I am going to wait until it starts getting warmer/less wet before I clean her up again.
Not for a few months yet, lots to do mechanically yet. Then I have to start the bodywork.I hate riding in the rain.Do my best to avoid it,not always possible here though.
Vote on my other thread, http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?t=170880

Bought these from a local store a few months ago.been sitting on my desk at home since. Finally time to get it done.Cut the heads off then cleaned up the ends and:

in they went.Pop the old gaskets out, then in with the new.Ready for the pipe .

Back when I first got them I removed the 3 sets of pipes.Had not one broken bolt.Decided to not tempt fate more than I already had.

Hmmm maybe I should be contemplating that too then. I only have four bolts in total and all four came out with no dramas also...

Been working on some things
2011_02080003.jpg

Painted a oil cooler because I realized it would be a PITA to install if I put the 4>1 on.
2011_02080004.jpg

Speaking of 4>1's test fit it to try out the studs. The second from the left hung on something.Really hard to get a nut on it.Once I did it popped into place:p

It's this stuff
2010_11010005.jpg

I was looking for something close to the stock frame color. This stuff was recommended in another thread.Very tough rattle can paint.Putting the engine in twice barely touched itThis color is the bonus of that choice..Mechanically it's getting there.Big chunk of bodywork to do,remember it's:

An EFF,lots of plastic to be sanded, even with a power sander:eek:

I've used their appliance epoxy paint in black and you are right... though stuff! Funny, I saw the stainless just th other day and read the label. Claims it has actual stainless steel for the metalics.
THANKS!

I am so glad that my husband is now getting on with the work on his bike. If spring comes and it isn't ready to ride he will be a very upset man, which I really don't need.

Some people here over dramatize:rolleyes:It will be done when it is.Yes I'm moving along OK?
To that end got a few things done
2011_02120001-1.jpg
