DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

this small dents in it.The second ones covered by the seat, going to fill it anyway:p

This was covered with silicone.Think thPO tried to fix the first bit with it,it failed so then put more on.
I'm going to take care of the rust to.:D

Oh my. Sanding. I only find it satisfying when it's the clear coat.. but you gotta do it. Is the whole fairing plastic?

The fairing is all plastic.this kind of sanding is what power sanders are for.even then it's not that fast.

Sweet build. Enjoyed reading so far.

I agree, the champagne will look really nice, especially with the red accents you've put on. Sounds like your wife has some taste.

With your leathers, the red paint might've been a bit of overkill.

Yes I do agree the the red with the red leathers would be over kill for sure. Now he has mentioned that he is not sure that I do have taste, because I would like them both with purple accents! My favorite color is purple which I only wear. However I must ad that I wanted my motor cycle painted purple but he won't do it, says that would be to much purple. So I have to go with the champagne color with the purple accents. In all honestly I can't understand what is wrong with purple in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can see that the thing with purple being a bad color is just a guy thing, just goes to show that some men have to taste when it comes to colors!

I think that it should be known that until I met and married my husband I never even thought seriously about riding a motor cycle never mind own one. Now regarding his comment about me learning how to paint and painting it purple, well I always thought that if you loved someone that you would be willing to do anything for them. I guess that went by the board years ago, to bad though I think that it was a good thing!:p

If you loved me you would not ask me to paint it that color. Need I remind you

My husbands last comment is to remind me that he is sick of the fact that I love purple so much. In one way I admit that I can understand how he feels, I don't even wear anything most of the time that isn't purple!

Seems to me I remeber something about pink.Well on to what this thread is for.

More rust in these areas.A little dent to.So I filled them old school with lead solder.Going to use body filler after work then primer.

Seeing as how you said there was silicone around the first spot, I think I spy a pin hole.... a little low and left of smack dead center.

Yeah that is one.The dark spot to theright lower down is a bigger one.The lead should seal them up.

Some Bondo and primer and the tanks looking pretty good.If it was not Kreamed I think the 85's tank would have been less work.

Great, was doin what I thought was a final sand.Have another shallow low spot:rolleyes:
