All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.
A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.
A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.
Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.
So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.
The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
Hoomgar said:Tad, your going to wind up in the deadbeat section of a very popular vintage UJM motorcycle forum if you don't come in here and sort this out buddy. I have bought from you off eBay and was pleased with my parts although shipping was very slow. Maybe you just need to fix some things up here?
This is certainly an opportunity to redeem yourself before your reputation goes for good with these guys.

Buster Dog said:I won three auctions on Ebay in July 2005 and set payment of $142.13 through Paypal. I still haven't received my parts and Tad will not respond to emails. If you read his feedback on Ebay you will see that he must not be running his parts business very well. I'm now filing a complaint with Paypal to attempt to get my money back. I wonder why he has time to list all those parts for sale on the GSResources but doesn't have time to respond to my emails about the parts I've paid for. I would recommend never doing business with this guy. I hope I keep somebody else from making the same mistake I did. He has great parts but evidently just wants your money and then resells the parts you won on Ebay later to rip sombody else off like he did to Silverhorse47. I'll bet he won't even respond to this!
One pissed off Buster Dog!

But he had it continuously listed on his website and his email catalogue, and he listed it on ebay again last week, so I'm confused. Ding dang it if armytad hadn't blocked me from bidding on that auction. Sigh.
Watch out for this guy.

Hi Mary,
Your order was out of stock and you received a refund I can provide transaction numbers if this would help. The part eventualy came back into stock some time later, but is no longer so.

I have made several purchases from AVP. They can be slow but they have delivered. I have sent an email to Tad via one of his associates including this thread link. Hopefully he will see the benefit of making people on this website happy. I don't know about the rest of you but I support the heck out of suppliers that get me my parts.

Then why block her from bidding on it when it came up on ebay again?

Hi UncleMike,
I'm not sure what order was yours, but I'd like to ask what it was, what you paid for it, if shipping was any higher than the ammount stated in auction, and if it took longer to delivery than the time stated in auction.
This will help me alot!
Thanks,
-Tad

Well, to be honest it has been almost two years now. It was either a cylinder head or a airbox assembly for an '81 450. I don't remember shipping stated in the auction, but I remember it being a bit high.
It wasn't so high that I thought you were ripping me off terribly, but I knew it could've been done cheaper. The real problem I had was it was just painfully slow. I don't mind slow, but I'd better not be paying a lot for slow, catch my drift?
Again, whichever part it was, and it may be both, they were both in excellent condition. They looked brand new. I can't state enough what good condition they were in. Very pleased.
Tad said:Hi UncleMike,
Thanks for the info - I'm sorry if your order was shipped slow , at that time I was working by myself out of a spare bedroom If you'd like, I'd be happy to extend free shipping on any future order.
Cheers,
-Tad

Believe me I understand the trials and tribulations of entreprenuership (even if I am too lazy to be sure how to spell it.) That's a wonderful offer and gesture of goodwill that I will gladly take you up on.
Seems like he's trying awful hard to make good, eh guys?
Thanks much,
Mike
