I just bought 2 parts bike. 1983 GS(x)750ES and a GS(x)700E. The 750 had a terrible death. I bought the bike and found the #4 rod made a nice window in the case, and ended up destroying the clutch basket and breaking 2 valves.
The 700 had a running engine, better body parts, but NO title. I have been removing everything GOOD on both bikes and installing them in the titled frame.
Side panels from the 700 Only fit the 700's gas tank, I replaced the wiring harness and fuse box from the 700,cause I had the 700 engine now in the 750 frame.
My only question, is...I ran across 3 yellow wires that go to the stator and all 3 have the same plugs. There are NO identifications on any of these wires! Will I burn something up if I do not get the 3 wires plugged into the correctly.
This is the only thing of the swap that has given me any trouble. I just want to make sure I'm ok with these before I install the battery and check the rest of the system...
