Hi guys,
I have a quite interesting problem. I was trying to split crankcase in my 1982 GS 750.
Everything went well, till I discover that the 1st and 4th piston is rubbing the inner walls of the upper crankcase, and it?s impossible to get it out. Pistons are STD so probably the crankcase walls are thicker here. I hadn?t any problems with that, with my other engine. I can always use some kind of pin puller, take out the pistons and with the conrods exposed it will be a piece of cake.
I can also lift the whole thing: upper crankcase with the pistons, crankshaft. Put it on the table and unscrew the big end caps.
There are few options, but is anyone had a similar problem with that?
Thanks a lot.
