I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I apologize if this question has been asked, but i have not had much luck searching the forum and would like to ask my questions directly.

I am trying to source new carburetors for my 1979 GS850 and cannot find the right mikuni carbs for my year, make and model. The carbs I have, had the fuel mix pin break off inside of the carburetor. I have found several good looking carbs for sale for the 550 and the 750. I have read that the spacings are the same, but are the other dimensions the same such that I only need to swap out the screws and jets? Can I use GS750 carbs on my GS850? Are there other models of the GS carbs that will swap directly with the GS850?

If not, where can I get good GS 850 carburetors?

Did you try to push the broken tips out of the carb body? Check Basscliff's site for instructions if you haven't seen them already.

You can use 750 carb bodies, just make sure to transfer your jetting over, or at least make sure the jets are correct. 550's use smaller carbs.

Thank you for getting back to me. I have done all of the suggested maintenance and rebuilding that can be found on the site, which is how I found that the pin was broken off into the carburetor for 3 of the 4 carbs.

The jets from the gs850 will simply swap over to the GS 750 carbs?

If those don't work out I have a 79' 850 that I am parting out and still have the carbs
