A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Just a note for you from someone currently recovering from an inguinal hernia operation. DON'T LIFT THE BLOCK ON YOUR OWN! Get the ex to do it!

haha, no I wont get her moving it...

I did "lift" it to lower it into the crate frame solo but wont try to move it. Just cause I could safely dead lift the weight in a controlled condition does not mean I could lift that and move it since the weight will be to far out and to many obstacles. Once its ready Ill find someone local.

Well had some issues getting it out tonight, took longer than expected crated and spent to long getting home trying to get my friend, he had to work late...

Anyways if I got it in likely would have sat in the warehouse till Monday anyways, then get trucked to JFK.

Here are some more pics.

Crate is sealed, I will bring a cordless drill to the shipping place should they want to try and inspect anything...

Hopefully I can clean up tonight a bit and get my house back for Christmas, I got tools EVERYWHERE lol.

It looks like the shipping companies will have their work cut out for them if they are going to be the least bit successful at damaging that crate.

Hully crap, S50, that's gift wrapping at it's most engineered....this is really beyond merely offering advice at a distance to a fellow member...this is putting the wrench in his hands and handing him a beer during the procedure. You got a lotta karma (for those who accept it's existence) coming back to you...

I duct taped a wrench for the bolts since I was not sure if Chris had anything standard down there :p but I really do hope he has access to a power drill. It will be at least an hour long procedure to inspect anything past the top of the box, you will see upon opening it the top end of the motor and then on the back of the case is the rear spline section bubble wrapped then covered in cardboard. I put my spline from the wheel onto the drive shaft spline with some fresh moly 60 and then wrapped it with a rag and duct taped them together. Also got new stud bolts on with antiseize.

Chris if you read this I should have put a to do list for you in there... but

DO NOT TURN THE MOTOR AS IS.

The tensioner needs to be removed, valve cover and cams. Then start the full timing procedure and you should be good to go.

Damn, that's what you call Christmas wrapped. You should get a job at the mall wrapping gifts!!! well done indeed. How are you looking $$$ wise to help cover costs so far??

funny you say that, I am know for wrapping presents in duct tape and cardboard or boxes lying around. I let the church do it for me this year as they where doing a fund raiser.

How are you looking $$$ wise to help cover costs so far??

Yes, how are you doing on expenses? Aren't you still "short" quite a bit?
Perhaps some of the regulars in the Off Topic forum could help out.
Have you posted there?
Most of them, never seem to be interested in Suzuki's though so they probably missed it...

Edit: Chris, if you see this, could you PLEASE post the picture in today's memoirs titled "That's how I roll"?
I am CERTAIN that this bunch would enjoy it!!!

post what picture? I need to check my emails but I do have a login to edit the website and plan to get more involved in that. Its a lot easier for me to get online than him.

I will feel better when its dropped off, i dont think I will get a price until it gets trucked from my drop off in Boston to NYC. Rough estimate was like $600-$700 range and we got like $500 I think so far (way more than I expected tbh)

Oh I got you, not sure how to save from them other than screen shots, but here it is for those who didnt read the blog.
