DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

GS front brake rotors

The 550ES and 650G I have in my barn at the moment both have the dual rotors and I *think* the one on the 650 is like the one in that auction, but can't tell for sure in the pictures I have got (I live 2 hours away from where they are being stored.) I am going home tomorrow possibly and if I do I will let you know for sure. They are already promised to someone, but that will give you an idea of what bike to look for.

Thanks, I was looking to put a set on my Buffalo but I don't want one that's 'backwards' on the right side, these are the same diameter as my GT750 but I have never seen dual brakes with the rotors 'exactly' like these. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

This also looks like the left side, looks like the ones on the wifee's 550

Yeah, it's a left, I have 2 of them but need a right if there is such a thing, was wanting slotted discs on my GT but may have to drill my stock discs instead.

A bunch of different GS's came with the slotted rotors, after '79' or '80' I know many of them will interchange, but don't know for sure which ones. Don't bet on this, but I think 550's thru 1100's will be the same. Even the earlier models, before they were drilled, would still fit right & bolt right on.

the dual discs from 80-82 GS 750's and 1100's are the same size. This gives you a lot more to choose from.

Look on e-bay, under gs1100, there is a set listed on there now, that looks like yours. I won't guarantee they will fit a water buffalo, but there is a good chance they may.

Most all the GS rotors fit but only the ones in my first post are large enough in diameter to work right, the others make the brake pads stick over the top of the disc and not come in full contact. :( :( :(

That rotor will fit 78-79 GS's with the solid front rotor, I have one on my 550. :)
