DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Wes Cooley in Sioux Falls

Wes Cooley in Sioux Falls

Hi,
On Thursday we were walking near our house along a street that is now a construction detour. A really nice Wes Cooley went by. I was too surprised to flag the guy down.

Cheers,
Lyle

saw a nice 1000 or 750 in town today. orange, red and yellow. followed him for about a mile and gave up.

81 Gs1000l

81 Gs1000l

Saw a GS on the way home from work today, and was admiring it when the owner walked up. Doug said his Brother was the original owner, and he was taking the bike to the local motorcycle mechanic. His '81 GS1000L is in pretty nice shape!

I invited him to the forums, so perhaps we'll have another new face around here soon. :)

Anyone ride a GS in Brookpark/Parma Ohio?

Anyone ride a GS in Brookpark/Parma Ohio?

I just finished working Saturday night (June 28th) and on the way home I stopped at the Speedway gas station at the corner of W 130th Street and Snow Road on the border of Brookpark and Parma Ohio (Cleveland Suburbs)

It was a few minutes before 10:30 pm and someone pulled in on a Suzuki to get gas, I think it was a GS, straight seat that looked like it needed some work. I never was able to get a better look at it or talk with the owner.

Does this one belong to anyone here?

Not REALLY A GS, but someone around these here parts has a Gamma! How cool is that!! It was dark, and the owner was a bit shy, so here ya go....

Yesterday, on I-5 northbound, just shy of exit 82, an 850G with a windjammer and saddlebags. Nice shape.

This morning on the way to work, NE Ohio, 271 South before the 480/422 split. A guy on what was an older Suzuki. It looked more modern than my bike in regards to the tail and overall styling, it might have been a GSR but it was definitely an older bike. Oh, and the guys plate said "SECKS". :D

Anyone know who this is? I thought the plate was pretty amusing.

In Leduc AB. Yesterday, Canada Day, at the Royal Canadian Legion.
An 80 (?) GS1000G with a vetter and bags. Middle aged gent with a sparkly open faced helmet. I saw him suit up and as he pulled away he let 'er rip! Sounded awesome!

I've passed a guy riding an 1100GK several times on Fort Henry Drive in Kingsport, TN. Is there any chance you're monitoring this board? If so, drop by Green Spring Marine sometime, I'd like to talk with you.

Was at Sawdust Days Here in Oshkosh, WI. I saw a 80-82 850GL with a Windjammer fairing..... Anyone on here know of the bike?

yesterday i was up near pinconning michigan and i saw a g or gk 1100 on the road as i was pulling out going the other direction, very nice shape!

two 1982 suzuki gs 1100's where I live. I own one and i used to own the other one. also I have recently noticed a gs 650 running around town, going to have to find out who that was.

Last Friday, a very nice two tone brown GS850 (1980-82) with an old Aero frame mounted fairing at 17th and O in Lincoln, NE.

Headed west, into the sunset. Perhaps it was a dream.

I saw a very nicely restored black GS1000 sitting in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Jerseyville, Illinois about a week ago. I wish we had access to GS Resource business cards to place on bikes we see like that. Couldn't convince my wife to stick around long enough to wait for the owner to come out.

Might have to come up with something I can just print out and stick in my wallet for times like that.

Here's one I saw

Here's one I saw

in the next closest bigger city to me(38K people, I live in a relatively small town of 1800) today in the AM, just before I downloaded the GSR business card file!! I was in town for a Dr. appt. Hey, I got a question for the Forum, Doesn't anybody have cameras on their phones like me? This thread is boring without PICTURES!!!

and from the other side:

looks like the guy needs some help with running lean from the looks of that 4-into-1 header. Man I wish I had just thought of printing off some GSR business cards earlier.

I agree. Unfortunately, I have a very old phone (Cingular Nokia) that I badly need to replace. No way to take pics with it (it's even missing buttons...LOL!).

I saw a red 1100 or 1150E last night in Mason, going the other way on Snider road. It was about an '83 with wheelie bars and a mean sounding pipe. Riding two up without helmets. Unfortunately, I was heading out to get a new battery, so I had to suppress the urge to wave before I smacked the door.

P.S. charging the new sealed battery at 14.01@2k/13.25@5k, in case you're wondering.
