If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Two recent sightings...

Anaheim, CA
I was in Anaheim, CA for a trade show January 15 - 18th. I believe it was the evening of the 17th, we were leaving the convention center near Disney Land and a red GS, I think it was an L of some type, split the lanes and blew through almost two miles of gridlock. You lucky ba$tards...

North of Leesburg, FL
Then this afternoon, I was testing out my Real Gasket installation (score!) and stopped at a gas station (lost + no cell network connection). It was at the intersection of 425 and cr27 near Leesburg at about 6pm 2/1/09. Someone pulled up on a good sounding light blue GS1000 on the other side of the parking lot. I was too busy trying to figure out how to get home, but should have snapped out of it anyways. Man that bike sounded good.

Finally saw one...

Finally saw one...

I saw this 750 yesterday at City Hall, next to the mayor's parking spot

Left him (or her) a note referencing this site.
I really should print myself a couple of GSR business cards :o

Took my son to the movies on Thursday, June 14. Was at the Cinemark complex in Independence Ohio, down in the vally. As we left the movies and headed to the parking lot, I saw a GS, couldn't tell what year, but looked very similar to the 82 GS 650 I had. It had a maroon tank and looked like it needed quite a bit of TLC.

I was riding this morning through the canyon that I live on when I fastly approached a 79 GS1000 that had been converted with the GSXR front end and front/rear wheels!!! He was slowly coming up the pass and I had to slow down pretty quickly when I came around the corner.

I flagged him over to find out that he is a neighbor of mine that I didn't know I had. He had been researching some mods on the internet and found a few websites of this mod but had never heard of the GSR forums! I will post pictures of his bike this next week when we go on a ride.

I asked him why he was going so slow and he said he had just completed this bike and it was his first "shake down" up the pass! He claims he has something for me on my 550EF.....we'll see!:D

Went to the bike show

I later met Ray, the owner and chatted him up. He bought the bike brand new

I saw 2 1983 750/1100e's in vancouver last weekend, both times I went "that's what my bike should look like!"

one was pristine, the other well lived in but still very nice.

While working in the garage on my Red Hotrod, I heard an unmistakable VROOM-VROOM. I looked out at the street and saw this '82 GS1100E pulling up outside.

The rider, Ken, and I have a mutual friend. He gave Ken my addy and suggested he stop on by. I'm glad he did. I always enjoy meeting and chatting with other GS owners. Especially one who lives near me.

Ken and I actually met on the road a while back. But we were going in opposite directions. Sooner or later we were bound to meet up for real.

Hopefully he will visit the GSR and get to meet all of you.

1000s in westfield, ma?

1000s in westfield, ma?

coming home from work in my pickup friday afternoon on rt. 202 in westfield mass. passed what appeared to be a sweet blue and white 1000s going in the opposite direction. If i was on a bike I would have turned around and chased him down to get a better look and some info. Looked pretty good. Maybe a member?

thursday just after noon i think, northbound I-91 around north haven, Ct. 80 or 81 1100E rollin along in the slow lane. I passed him in my work truck, tractor trailer, gave him a thumbs up, he smiled and nodded. You on here?

About 2 weeks ago I thought I saw bribirds bike on the back of a truck on I-40 in NC near Raleigh, I told him too, he had to go check to make sure it was still in his garage. so... I guess I a black gs on I-40 East bound near Raleigh.

saw a beautiful blue 83 gs1100 in merritt today so i stoped at the place where the bike was and looked it over ,very nice had a mac exaust but no pods and only 14000km on it. [thats 9000 miles for you american brothers]

On my way to Philadelphia on Saturday evening, on the Blue Route, in a few miles of congestion...

there was a GS1000L* in the other lane. Black with gold trim, I think, in fair to decent condition.

I tried to get the guy's attention, but what are you gonna do in stop and go traffic, lol...

*I guessed it was a 79-81 1000L. Then I looked and saw that those are the only three years of the 1000L :)

riding home from work today on rt. 400, which is a divided highway, noticed a bike parked on the far side. the rider had dismounted and seemed to be pacing nervously. though i only had a quick glance i thought the shape of the bike looked familiar so, after carefully scanning the area for the man, i did a median crossing and went back to see what was up. dude had just bought the bike and was on the way home when it died on him. it was an 80 850G. i had seen it before, for sale at a local bike dealer for about a grand. seemed in pretty good shape. he had called the dealer and there was someone on the way. he'd run the battery down trying to get it going so i couldn't do much. checked a plug and it looked like it was running lean. when the mechanic showed up he put it on prime and attached a jumper battery and she fired right up. seems the guy didn't know where the reserve was and just ran out off gas. he was really excited about owning "a classic!" we all had a good laugh and of course i told him about the gsresources. rode with him for a while 'til i could legally turn back around and head home. i don't see too many gs's around here. i'm sure this guy will enjoy his new bike.

Last year in Ocean City MD during Bike week, I was riding around and saw a guy goin the opposite direction on a 81-83 Brown GS. I thought it was another 650. Later that night, I found it on a trailer. Turns out it was actually an 82 450G from PA. Yes I checked the vin to see the date.

Around my neighborhood (Joppa Rd. parkville, MD) there's a guy riding an 81-83 650G just like mine but his is the original color (Brown w/gold pin striping). I first saw him in my truck goin to the bar. A few days later, I was on my 650 (before I painted it), and saw him again. We waved, did a double take, and then gave me a thumbs up. I could tell he was laughin too.

Saw two over the last week, one Thursday morning about 6:30 black with red stripes on the tank turning into Ipswich Bay Glass in Rowley traveling with a Harley the other a Katana at the corner of State and High street in Newburyport at about 4:30 Friday afternoon.

Black GS1000

Black GS1000

Parked at Black Forest Regional Park in Colorado. Very good condition I might add!

This one is a couple of days late.

On Sunday, July 19th, I was heading south on AZ60 out of Wickenburg, heading for Phoenix. It was about 4pm, and we were about 10 miles out of town. I spotted a blue & white GS1150 on the northbound side. It was on the giddyup, so I only glimpsed it for a second. Unmistakeable though.
