GS1000 carb overflow pipe securing clips

Agemax

Forum Guru
i need to get some of the little securing clips that go on the overflow pipes on the floatbowls.
i cannot see them listed on the fiche and wondered if anyone can point me to a part number or a source for obtaining them.

thanks..

Securing clips?? Picture may help. I thought they were just pressed in to the bowls. Its just a standard VM 26 bowl, so I would bet there are many around for sale. The Cafe Kid for sure has a stockpile.

Chuck, i mean the spring clip things that secure the rubber hose onto the overflow tube on the float bowl.

OHHH....I think I got a few around...PM me your addy. I actually am going over to the storage unit this afternoon. If i have one i wll send it off and let you know its on the way. Was it you i sent the carb bowl to a few months ago? How did that work out?

yeah it was me chuck. it worked great thanks mate.

i need 9 of those little clips. there is no part number on the GS1000 fische.
i guess they are they same size on all models

I never reuse them..but i never throw anything away either. I will check the bolts can when i go over there. I dont think there are 9 of them, but whatever i have are yours.

Adrian...dumped out all my catch all cans and no little clips. I thought the ones i remembered seeing where them, but it seems they are the bigger ones like that go on the breather tubes.

ok mate, thanks for looking. i will find some from somewhere :)

If the tubing is snug you wont need the clips...unless your just going for "the look". I get regular vacuum line from the auto parts store for my over flow drain tubes and just slide it on.

chuck. i have this set up on my overflows so i need the clips for extra security

Cant say as I recall that pipe deal..but its a good idea. You then just need the one down tube for the drain. you make that or get it somewhere?

thats right Chuck. much tidier having 1 pipe hanging down behind the engine.

i made it myself :)

Sweet setup. If you can't find the clips a couple of wraps of small diameter stainless lock wire will do the job and if done right will look alright.

yeah i was thinking that Sandy as a last resort but surely Suzuki must sell these little clips i just cant find a part number for them.
i have trawled ebay and other sites and i just cant find any clips similar that small.
maybe if i knew what the correct terminology for them was i might get more luck. google gets confused when you type in "little springy pipe clippy things" :D
